This peaceful resort is located just 14 miles from the Cherrywood studio near the quaint little town of Nisswa. The cabins are serene with clean design and no TVs to clutter your mind. This truly provides a link to nature and will inspire you to immerse yourself in creativity.

Rachel D.K. Clark is a contemporary folk artist, teacher, and lecturer who comes from a
long line of sewers. Growing up in Tallulah, LA, Rachel learned quilting early in life from her
mother and grandmother. She has been creating wearable art since 1973 and teaching on
the national circuit since 1990. Eclectic fabric mixes, vibrant designs, and a keen sense of
humor characterize Rachel’s work. Her garments embody her dynamic personality and
deep-rooted passion for storytelling through fabric art, weaving history, humor, and
powerful social commentary into every garment.

Rachel loves to use coats as a way to express her creativity. A coat can be an excellent canvas for special fabrics like Cherrywood, personal statements, quilt blocks or other themes or statements.

The course will take students from plan development through the cutting and sewing of a wonderfully expressive garment. Sewing experience is preferred, but beginners are welcome.

RETREAT RATE INCLUDES:

A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at registration.

Three installments will be invoiced every 12 weeks. Installments are due upon receipt of the invoice. 

ACCOMODATIONS 

• There are various sized cabins and four hotel rooms available.

• If you wish to share accommodations with a specific person/persons, please list them in the survey you will receive after downpayment. Ensure that they also list you when they register. 

• All accommodations are within 50 yards of the sewing space.

 

WHAT TO BRING

 • Supply List will be provided at sign-up

 • Sewing Machine and basic sewing supplies (please inquire is one is needed)

 • Dietary snacks/beverages needed. There is a grocery store, liquor store and coffee shop 2 miles away. Transportation can be provided if needed.

• We will provide cutting mats/cutters, ironing stations and design walls

Hotel Room - Private KING Bed $2250 (includes class/meals as detailed above)  $565 Deposit is required to reserve your room. Three installments will be invoiced at 12 week intervals. *accessible only by stairs, the hotel rooms are above the main lobby. 1 bedroom hotel suite 1 king bed Master Bathroom with soaking tub Private deck overlooking the Catalyst Venue Conveniently located next to our main parking lot and event center. These suites are located above the main check-in lobby, so you’re easily able to access the amenities and use that space to lounge and play games!

Hotel Room - Shared QUEEN Beds $1,800 per person (includes class/meals as detailed above).   $450 Deposit is required to reserve your room. Three installments will be invoiced at 12 week intervals.  *accessible only by stairs, the hotel rooms are above the main lobby. 1 bedroom hotel suite 2 queen beds Private deck overlooking the Catalyst Venue Conveniently located next to our main parking lot and event center. These suites are located above the main check-in lobby.

CABIN - KING Bedroom  $2500 Private bedroom. Shared living space/full kitchen  (includes class/meals as detailed above)  $625 Deposit is required to reserve your room. Three installments will be invoiced at 12 week intervals.  Full kitchen, large living room with fireplace, & dining room All cabins are a short walk to Nature Link’s private beach, resort amenities, fire pits, grill station, and our main check-in building.

CABIN - QUEEN Bedroom  $2000 Private bedroom. Shared living space/full kitchen. (includes class/meals as detailed above) $500 Deposit is required to reserve your room. Three installments will be invoiced at 12 week intervals.  Full kitchen, large living room with fireplace, & dining room All cabins are a short walk to Nature Link’s private beach, resort amenities, fire pits, grill station, and our main check-in building.
