Selecting the finalists for our Story Time–themed quilt challenge has been no easy task. Each submission reflects hours of dedication, imagination, and careful stitching, and we were truly inspired by the many ways our talented sewists interpreted what story time means to them.

From beloved childhood tales to personal narratives told through fabric and thread, every quilt shared a unique story. In reviewing the entries, the jurors focused on quilts that reflected thoughtful interpretation of the theme and excellent technique and workmanship. To honor the spirit of the challenge, they chose quilts that expressed the maker’s creative storytelling through fabric and design.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to each sewist who poured their creativity, skill, and passion into this challenge. Your work made the jurying process both incredibly difficult and deeply rewarding.

Hopefully, we all have memories of snuggling in at night for storytime, anticipating a story that captured our imagination. Remember that one book you just HAD to read over and over? The illustrations were just so beautiful and the story was just right.

Books published in the past had a certain illustrative style, quality, paper, feel and even smell. The Classics bring joy to generation after generation of hungry minds. 

That's the feeling we are trying to capture with this Challenge.
