Years ago, Karla purchased a vintage quilt at a show. Being half Dutch, the quilt spoke to her, and she was lucky enough to get the story from the maker's daughter herself! The original quilt was made by Kathryn McClintock, from a kit by Paragon. The company is not in business anymore, but in her research, Karla was able to find a complete kit for this quilt on Ebay! The fabrics were pre-printed in blue ink, including cut lines. It was needle-turn appliqué. The background fabric was marked for channel quilting. The roots and dots above the tulips were stitched with wool yarn provided in the kit.
